I'm so excited! I'm a sap, and it really makes me wish *I* had a garden, too. I hope they all get out in the garden for more than the obligatory photo-ops.

She said she would make Barack weed, which tickles me more than the garden itself. Oh how I love this woman!

I know I said I would be ok taking the year off from gardening, but now that I'm doing it, I find myself longing for dirt. Maybe that will change once the farmers markets open around here. Looks like I'll have one right across the street starting in May!

The First Lady's initiative great encouragement for Americans to start eating healthier and find a constructive hobby to pass the time with. I'm hoping that this will raise interest in community gardens across the country, which, at least in my hometown have helped low-income families eat healthy meals on a consistent basis.
